Jeffrey L. Harmening

Senior Vice President; Chief Executive Officer, Cereal Partners Worldwide

As president and CEO of Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW) – General Mills’ joint venture with Nestlé – Jeff Harmening is responsible for a nearly $2 billion global cereal business which distributes to more than 130 countries outside of North America.

He began his role with CPW in July of 2012. 

Harmening was named president of General Mills’ Big G cereal division in June 2007. Before that, he served as vice president of marketing for CPW, headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland. In that role, Harmening led CPW’s marketing strategy and activity in markets worldwide.

He was promoted to vice president of the company while at CPW in 2004, and promoted to senior vice president effective April 1, 2011, when he served as president of Big G cereals. 

Prior to his marketing role with CPW, Harmening led Big G New Enterprises, where he successfully launched Berry Burst Cheerios.

Harmening began his career at General Mills in 1994. Since that time, he has served in various marketing roles in the Betty Crocker, Yoplait USA and Big G divisions.

Harmening was promoted to marketing director in 2000, and held marketing director leadership roles in Big G New Enterprises and Foodservice New Business.
