Archives
The General Mills Archives began in 1980 when artifacts were collected to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Gold Medal flour.
Located in the lower level of the General Mills world headquarters in Minneapolis, Minn., the Archives department houses historical assets in a humidity- and temperature-controlled environment that occupies more than 3,000 square feet.
The General Mills Archives department provides a secure, central repository where historically significant records are preserved, interpreted and made available to further the study and understanding of General Mills’ vision and legacy.
The Archives staff is responsible for preserving historical materials regarding the company’s origins, growth, products and services.
